Authorize.net is a Payment Gateway that can bridge the gap between ThinkReservations and the businesses' bank of choice. We ask that the business please reach out to your current credit card processor and have them create an Authorize.net account for your business if you do not have one already. Once you have your authorize.net account, we recommend updating some settings to ensure your account is live and synced correctly with ThinkReservations for reporting and end-of-day purposes.

  1. Log in to your Authorize.net account

  2. If the account is in TEST mode, you will see a pop-up on the page telling you that the account is in Test Mode. If that is the case, you will first need to change the account to Live mode by clicking on the toggle to move it from Test to Live mode. You can then click the"Got It?" button at the bottom of the pop-up. Note: If you do not see the pop-up, then the account is already in Live mode.

  3. Click on Home on the top left and click on Customer Information Manager. Make sure that it is enabled. If it is not enabled, you will need to accept the terms.

  4. Click on Account on the top right and then click on Enhanced Address Verification Service. For both General AVS and Address and ZIP Code Responses, select ALLOW for everything so that the account looks like the image below. Then, click Save at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: If you do not have an Enhanced Address Verification Service, you will have a Basic Address Verification Service. In this case, the setting should be unchecked to look like this:

5. Click on Account at the top right and then click Time Zone. Set the time zone to the time zone in which the property is located. This should match the time zone on the Business Settings page in ThinkReservations.

6. Click on Account at the top right, then click Transaction Cut-Off Time, and set the time to 11:59 p.m. This will ensure that their daily reports in ThinkReservations match the daily batch reports from Authorize.net.
