Getting Started with Lightspeed K Series

Steps to Get Started:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Marketplace

  2. Find the Lightspeed K Series application and click on Learn More. Then click the "Add Application" button on the top left

  3. You will be taken to the Lightspeed K Series settings page, which you can navigate to at any time by clicking on Lightspeed K Series on the left side navigation in your settings menu.

  4. Click the "Login" button which will take you to Lightspeed's site to securely login to your Lightspeed account. Once logged in, the connection will be created.

  5. Now that your accounts are connected, the Lightspeed K Series settings page within ThinkReservations will show "Lightspeed is connected."

  6. Since you are now connected, you will be able to use the "Room Charge" option in the Lightspeed POS which will prompt you to search for a room number to charge to. Type in the appropriate room number and you will see a reservation pop up corresponding to that room. Choose that reservation to charge it to their bill. It will then appear on the guest's reservation within your ThinkReservations PMS!

    1. In order to do a room charge against a reservation, the reservation must be checked in and must have a customer assigned to it.

    2. If your room names in ThinkReservations contain numbers, no further action is required. If you have room names that do not contain numbers, then we need to assign room codes (numbers or letters) to each room. Please email support@thinkreservations.com with a mapping of room name to room code. We will set that mapping for you. Once completed, you will be able to use the room code to specify a room in Lightspeed.
