Not using ThinkPayments or Heartland? If you need to process a payment on a terminal that is not directly connected, see this article here to post the transactions.
If you have a ThinkPayments or a Heartland Equinox EMV terminal that is integrated directly with ThinkReservations, this article will guide you through the process.
With the reservation or bill open, click one of the green Add or Payment buttons.
In the popup modal:
Enter the amount you wish to charge in the Amount box.
Set the payment method to EMV Terminal (under the Credit Card payment type).
Select the EMV Terminal from the list.
Click the Take payment button.
The EMV terminal will be ready for the transaction. Ask the guest to either tap or insert their card into the EMV terminal to complete the transaction.
Any errors with the payment will be displayed on-screen in ThinkReservations.
Cards used with the EMV Terminal are retained on the reservation.
