Steps to Add a New Member:
Log In to your Admin portal at admin.thinkorganizations.com
Click the green Create Hotel button in the top right corner.
Fill out each field according to the property's details:
Short Description: This will appear on the listing next to the map.
Website URL: Enter the property's homepage URL.
Property Details Page URL: Provide the URL of the page on their website that gives details about the property. This may be the homepage or an "About Us" page—choose the most relevant option.
PMS Type Name: Select the correct PMS type from the dropdown.
ThinkReservations and WebRezPro are the only PMS options we can pull availability from at this time. For all other systems, we recommend choosing iCal (if there is an iCal link available from the member’s PMS) or “Unknown”. If you select the Unknown option, this message will be shown in lieu of availability: “This property may have availability.”
PMS Hotel ID: This internal field links the property's real-time availability and pricing.
If the PMS Type is ThinkReservations, the business owner can find the ID in their ThinkReservations account by navigating to Settings > Vrbo. Look for the "ThinkReservations User ID" in the top right corner. Alternatively, reach out to Support for assistance.
If the member uses WebRezPro, the member will need to provide their Hotel ID from WebRezPro.
Slug: This is the last part of the URL for the details page on the Organization website.
Example: If the page URL is thinkbedandbreakfast.com/stay/the-viewpoint, the slug would be the-viewpoint.
Most of the time you will want to use the business name with hyphens in place of any spaces. Once again, that would be the-viewpoint if the business name is The Viewpoint.
SEO Title: This should be a concise and compelling title that includes the property name and key details. It should be no longer than 60 characters to optimize search engine visibility.
SEO Description: A brief summary (around 150-160 characters) that describes the property, including key features and attractions. This should be engaging and include important keywords to improve search rankings.
Features: These are the highlighted features that will be displayed under the photo grid on the property details page. Examples might include "Ocean Views," "Pet Friendly," or "Complimentary Breakfast."
Body: This is the full description that will appear on the property details page. It should provide an overview of the property, its amenities, and any unique selling points.
Upload Photos
Add at least five high-resolution images showcasing the property.
Ensure each photo includes alt text for accessibility and SEO purposes.
Alt text is a short description of an image, helping visually impaired users and improving search engine indexing. It should be concise but descriptive (e.g., "Cozy guest room with king-size bed and mountain view").
Note: If your organization offers gift certificates that guests can redeem at member properties, please contact Support for assistance so we can enable GC redemption for new members.
Following these steps ensures that new properties are accurately and attractively displayed within ThinkOrganizations.
