How to Reset Your Password

Make security a habit! This article will walk you through how to reset your ThinkReservations password.

Important Information:

ThinkReservations requires users to reset their passwords every 90 days.

ThinkReservations requires users that have been locked out of their account to reset their password to get back into their account.

Password complexity requirements

  1. At least 12 characters

  2. At least 3 of the following:

    1. Lower case letters (a-z)

    2. Upper case letters (A-Z)

    3. Numbers (0-9)

    4. Special characters (ex. !@#*)

  3. Cannot be one of the last 5 passwords used

  4. Cannot use a common password

  5. No more than 2 consecutive identical characters in a row

    1. Ex: ss, SS, sS, !!, 1!, etc...

To change your known password:

  1. Log in to the account that needs to be changed or updated.

  2. Click Settings in the black bar at the top.

  3. Click the link to have the system email you a password reset link.

    If your user login is not a real email address, have your administrator create you a new user account with a real email address.

  4. Find the email with the subject "Reset your password" from support@thinkreservations.com, and click the blue link in the email.

  5. This link will take you to a new page. On this new page, you can change your password. You will need to enter the password twice to confirm. The password must meet the required complexity as detailed above.

Finally, click the Reset password at the bottom to complete the process.

Pro Tip: Test by logging in to your account with your newly reset password, and note your password in a secure location or a password manager. Never share your password. Instead, create a new user for each individual who needs access to your ThinkReservations account.


Forgot Your Password?

If you or an employee has forgotten the password associated with their account, simply follow the instructions below.

  1. From the login page, click the "Forgot password?" link.

  2. Once you click the link, you are taken to a new page. On this page, enter the email address that you use to log in to ThinkReservations. Your email address is your username.


    If you enter an email address that isn't associated with a ThinkReservations account, it won't be delivered.
    If your ThinkReservations account isn't associated with a real email address, it won't be delivered.

  3. Click the Continue button. If you entered your ThinkReservations login email address and it's valid, a password reset email will be sent to you to complete the process.

  4. Find the email with the subject "Reset your password" from support@thinkreservations.com, and click the blue "clicking here" link as indicated in the image below.​

    1. If you do not receive the password reset email within a few minutes, please check your Spam or Junk folders.

    2. If you still don't have the email, make absolutely sure you use the email you use to sign in to ThinkReservations as the email from step two.

  5. Once you click the link, you will be taken to a page where you can change your password. You will need to enter the password twice to confirm. The password must meet the required complexity as detailed above.

Finally, click the Reset password button to complete the process.

Please log in with your new password.

You are responsible for the security of your password. Do not let others log into your account. Each user should have their own user account.
